During my recent holiday in Southern Africa, I encountered an online bully who was coveting one of our valuable 3-Letter domain names. I wrote about it here.
This bully was a solicitor from a small Sydney practice who uses the net.au domain for his business.
He huffed and he puffed, but in the end, he just ran out of breath.
After publishing the original article and also posting it on LinkedIn, I never heard another thing from him. Threats of legal proceedings, damages and costs miraculously disappeared.
Nor did he have the decency to pick up the phone for a chat. It could have worked wonders for him.
The moral to this story is never be afraid to stand up to a bully – particularly if they are in the wrong.
If you feel like joining the conversation, you can do so here.
