Last week, our client instructed us to slash the asking price of DreamHome.com.au and its two siblings. We wrote about that on Wednesday 9th October.
Next day they were sold!
They’ve gone to a great new home – the RSL Queensland. And they don’t muck around either. DreamHome.com.au now forwards to their Dream Home Art Union.
Credit where credit is due
We love doing conjunction deals at Profit, because the most important thing is getting an acceptable deal for our client.
Mike Robertson is a good friend – and he is a star and specialist in the domain industry. We have trust in our dealings. Our word is our bond.
Whilst he mostly works with non Aussie domain extensions, he does have some excellent Aussie connections.
And so it was that he told me last week that his client wanted to purchase the domain package. The new price was appealing and within budget.
I was on my way to South Africa, but I got the invoice done in the Qantas Lounge in Sydney, and by the time I arrived in Johannesburg, the invoice was paid!
So Mike, a big thank you. Our client echoes those thanks.
The moral to this story
If a domain is priced reasonably, the chances of a sale rise exponentially.
There is nothing wrong in shooting for the stars (within reason), but if you want a sale, generally you have to come back to earth. Set a price that creates a call to action, a desire to act.
I absolutely commend our client Mark who took this advice on board. The next thing that happened is that we got a sale!
Listing your Aussie domains on Profit
We are are a private Aussie domain name marketplace, and are always on the lookout for reasonably priced domains to sell.
Our belief is that pricing must leave something in it for the next person.
We list all our domains on other international marketplaces, and we do extensive publicity through Linkedin and other social media.
For further information, check out our listing page.
Please note that we don’t accept every domain that is offered, and we also have some protocols that we insist on from our sellers in order to protect the integrity of our marketplace.
