Eye on the Prize – SecurityCameras.au Sold to Enduser

Many of our clients on Profit have acquired multiple names from us in the past.
When I say “us”, whilst Profit.com.au has only been around for just over 2.5 years, I have been involved in Aussie domain sales for over 20 years.
So it was great to see one of our old clients (Leon) come along last week and acquire the premium .au domain name SecurityCameras.au.
One of the previous domains Leon purchased was developed into an extremely profitable business. He told me that he recently sold this business, and was now looking to “go again”. The “security camera” niche is growing exponentially, and this really excites him..
Why the .au makes sense here
This is one of those classic cases where the com.au was already in use.
So the next best option was the newish .au extension.
The main benefit to Leon is that he was able to acquire a premium keyword / phrase domain for a price significantly less than what he would have had to pay for the com.au (if it was available).
Knowing what Leon has done in the past, I believe that he will turn this into another profitable business.
